Connection guide

Connect Dirpush to ChatGPT

Connect once. Your agent gets the directory playbooks, and Dirpush remembers the results.

Dirpush is in private testing. You need an existing account. Browser-agent compatibility and account-specific menus are still being verified.

Developer mode and custom app access depend on your plan and workspace settings. Write tools on your account still need a real test; connecting alone does not prove that reporting works.

  1. Enable Developer mode

Open ChatGPT on the web. In Settings → Apps, look for Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. Some accounts still call Apps “Connectors”. A workspace admin may need to enable custom apps.

  2. Create your app

Choose Create, name the app Dirpush, and paste the server address below. Choose OAuth for authentication. Leave client credentials empty when ChatGPT supports automatic client registration or published identity. Review the confirmation and create the app.

  3. Allow access to Dirpush

Follow the sign-in prompt, use your existing Dirpush account, and click Allow. Return here to see the connection status.

  4. Try a tool in a new chat

Select Dirpush from the chat’s apps or Developer mode tools. Ask it to list your Dirpush products. Review any approval prompt before allowing a write. Menu wording may vary; this account flow has not yet been tested.

Try your first run

Use Dirpush to list my products. If mine is missing, ask for its website and create it. Show me the profile so I can confirm the facts. Then take the next 5 directories. For each one, read the playbook and call begin_submit before opening the form. Only submit if it says proceed, and report the result after every directory. Stop and ask me for captchas, email verification, permissions or anything paid. Never submit the same directory twice. If this browsing session cannot use Dirpush tools, tell me and give me the product facts and playbook to paste into a browser-agent session.

Use your browser agent

Use ChatGPT’s browser agent or Atlas for browsing where available. Whether it can call a custom Dirpush app in the same browsing task still needs testing. Ask it to list your products while opening a directory page. If the tools are unavailable, use the fallback below.

If browsing and Dirpush tools are in separate chats

Use a connected chat to get your product profile and the next directory’s playbook. Copy your product from the dashboard and paste those facts and the playbook into the browser agent. Bring the result back to the connected chat to report it. Check the dashboard before starting another directory.

The agent must stop for captchas, email codes, SMS, passkeys and payments. Complete verification yourself in the directory’s website. Never send passwords or codes to Dirpush.

If something goes wrong

  • If Developer mode is missing, check your plan and workspace admin settings. Do not change plans just to test Dirpush.
  • If Dirpush is missing, reconnect it from Settings → Apps and select it for the chat.
  • If reads work but writes do not, save the browsing results and report them from a chat that supports write tools. This plan limitation still needs verification.
